Sui Foundation traced three mainnet halts across Thursday and Friday to two bugs introduced with the v1.72 software release. The first two halts came from a gas-charging flaw exposed by the address balances feature. The foundation said Thursday's interim fix carried a known low-probability halt risk, and a variant caused the second halt Friday morning. Sui said validators fixed both bugs, user funds were never at risk, and settled transactions were not reversed.

The UK sanctioned 18 entities and individuals on May 26 over alleged Russia sanctions evasion involving crypto rails. Kraken expects to launch CFTC-regulated perpetual futures contracts in the US in the next 30 days. The contracts would be listed on Bitnomial Exchange when Kraken gains approval.
